Sie wurden durch die Kraft des Wassers angetrieben, das den verschiedenen Quellen entspringt, die wie eine Krone um das Dorf verteilt liegen. Dank dieser wichtigen Ressource basierte die Wirtschaft des Dorfes jahrhundertelang auf der M\u00fcllerei, und bis 1930 wurden nicht weniger als 17 M\u00fchlen betrieben.<br \/>\nDie Funktionen der M\u00fchlen waren vielf\u00e4ltig. Die Hauptt\u00e4tigkeit war das Mahlen von Getreide, aber die M\u00fchlen wurden auch zum Schmieden von Eisen, zum Pressen von Waln\u00fcssen f\u00fcr Lampen\u00f6l, zum Walken von Wolle oder zur Verarbeitung von Holz im hydraulischen S\u00e4gewerk genutzt.<br \/>\nUrspr\u00fcnglich war die M\u00fchle \u201c<strong>Mulin de Lorenzo<\/strong>\u201d mit zwei R\u00e4dern ausgestattet (heute ist nur noch eines vorhanden), so dass das Mahlen von Getreide und das Walken von Wolle gleichzeitig durchgef\u00fchrt werden konnten. Im Inneren sind ein gro\u00dfer steinerner M\u00fchlstein und eine kleine T\u00f6pferscheibe zu sehen, die die von der M\u00fchle erzeugte Energie nutzten.<br \/>\nDie M\u00fchle \u201c<strong>Mulino dei Veraghi<\/strong>\u201d wurde unter Verwendung m\u00f6glichst vieler Originalteile aus stillgelegten M\u00fchlen restauriert und ist die einzige noch in Betrieb befindliche M\u00fchle im Valpolicella: hier wird Getreide auf Stein gemahlen, wie es um 1600 in einer au\u00dferordentlich eindrucksvollen nat\u00fcrlichen Umgebung \u00fcblich war. Sie liegt flussaufw\u00e4rts von den anderen M\u00fchlen und ist nur wenige Gehminuten vom Dorf en\u019eernt. Sie nutzt das Wasser einer Quelle, die nur wenige Meter en\u019eernt aus den Felsen sprudelt.<\/p>\n<p>Die beiden restaurierten M\u00fchlen k\u00f6nnen auf Voranmeldung von Gruppen besichtigt werden.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row row_height_percent=&#8220;0&#8243;
